4 Styles on Screens
Items from And Just Like That, Your Friends & Neighbors, Running Point, and The Four Seasons
We’ve got a lot to discuss today. Here are another four styles I’ve loved on screens recently.
Let’s just say it: AND JUST LIKE THAT is not good. It may be one of the most absurd shows to ever grace television, and for every single episode of the now three seasons of the show I have been sat the moment each new episode drops. It has assassinated many of the things that we loved about the original characters on SEX AND THE CITY over these past 3 seasons, and it seems as though the season will be doing much more of that as it continues. But the fashion is just as insane (complimentary) as in the original and may have even one-upped its predecessor with The Hat.
I love an insane accessory. And I especially love a huge, obnoxious hat. I actually really loved this fashion moment on Carrie because it was so ridiculous and so her.
Where to find similar pieces: The actual Maryam Keyhani cloud hat from the show is available here (in solid colors as well as the printed version Carrie wore).
Amazon / Kigai Sun Hat / $9.99
This version is not quite as over-the-top, but the size is definitely there, and the color is pretty close too, though it’s more pink than a peachy, brown tone.
For Love and Lemons / Summer Breeze Sun Hat / $69
Hear me out on this one. This hat is obviously a completely different print than the gingham style worn by Carrie. Still, it does have that whimsical, cloud shape that hers has, and the oversized tie around the face also adds a needed dramatic element to complete the look.
Collina Strada / Peach Plaid Clyde Mala Hat / $400
This version matches the tone of the original in terms of volume around the face and also closely matches the color, but features a different print and fabric variation.
One of the most interesting things about the costuming in YOUR FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS is that it’s bland on purpose. It leans into the “quiet luxury” that most actually rich people have adopted, and most of the looks on the show are entirely unremarkable. Upon looking into this further, it seems this was intentional. “From the beginning, my approach was to focus on achieving the authenticity of this ultra-wealthy world," explains the show's costume designer Jacqueline Demeterio to InStyle. “Rather than channelling Kendall Roy-style nepo baby vibes or the campy hallmarks of prep, the clothes here are intentionally forgettable—and modeled after the names you won't see populating the Forbes list.”
While much of the fashion on the show is luxurious but forgettable, I did think about the denim Gucci mini dress worn by Samantha Levitt, played by Olivia Munn, on more than one occasion. I love a denim mini dress for the summer, and this one is so good.
Where to find similar pieces: The actual Gucci dress can be found here or here.
Abercrombie & Fitch / Denim Shift Mini Dress / $80
This option from Abercrombie is pretty true to the original minus the luxury price tag. I really like it as it has the same neckline, sleeves, and similar length to the original.
Cinq a Sept / Nova Denim Dress / $395
What I like about the Gucci version, and what I was looking for in similar pieces to link here, was the simplicity of the design. I appreciate that there is no collar or design modifications, except for the singular gold detail. This version does taper in slightly at the waist, unlike the shift style in the original, but I liked the tiny gold detail on the buttons and that it otherwise maintained simplicity.
If YOUR FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS had little notable fashion, RUNNING POINT is the complete opposite. Isla Gordon, played by Kate Hudson, wore incredible pieces in every single episode of the show. I know I talked in my last post about my love for Ike Barinholtz, and though he’s not in this show, he is a producer on it along with Mindy Kaling. I knew I would love it based on that alone, but I wasn’t expecting to be as gagged as I was with the fashion. It was tough to narrow it down to one favorite piece, but as a yellow loyalist, in the end it had to be her marigold Sandro tailored blazer.
Where to find similar pieces:
Zara / Double Breasted Shoulder Pad Blazer / $99
This variation has four buttons instead of the single button on the Sandro blazer, but I love how the buttons are the same yellow tone as the jacket vs a solid or metallic color. This option also comes in pink, another suit color worn by Isla in the show.
COS / One Button Linen Blazer / $220
This is a single-button version in a timeless linen composition.
Gianni Bini / Jemma Ruched 3/4 Sleeve Shawl Collar Twill Boyfriend Blazer / $159
This version doesn’t have a button at all but is a great option for summer with its cropped, ruched sleeves.
My friend told me the new Netflix series THE FOUR SEASONS was a new version of THE WHITE LOTUS, which could not be more wrong and did lead me into watching with incorrect assumptions. That said, watching the show was a very pleasant derailment and something I really enjoyed, especially Coleman Domingo as Danny and his partner, Claude (played by Marco Calvani).
Danny’s travels took him through all four seasons (hence the title), but his resort wear in the summer was probably my favorite.
Where to find similar pieces:
Zara / Textured Crochet Shirt / $79.90
This option has more color and texture to it than the original Reiss version worn in the show, but I feel that the tone match is pretty similar and I also love the vertical designs.
BDG Urban Outfitters / Open Knit Short Sleeve Button Up Shirt / $64
If version one had more of everything, this option is its understated opposite. It still has that vertical stripe detail and boxy silhouette and is a great alternative if you’re looking for something a bit more classic.
Can you believe it’s been a year of Style on Set at the end of this month? I’m working on something special for my next post and will be back with another deep dive into fashion history with one of my all-time favorite television characters. Any guesses on who it is?

Justice for people who thought Four Seasons was a White Lotus parody.....
isla gordon was an instant style icon!!!
